Join the Changemakers
Change starts with us - together!
- Are you keen to become a health campaigner, but unsure where to start?
- Are you struggling to find the right people to listen to your calls for change?
- Are you facing burnout, wondering how you can keep on going alone?
We set up The Changemakers, a lovely eclectic bunch of cancer survivors who meet online and who are looking to make change - whether that’s within the NHS, in local communities, or for our families.
Perhaps you might be interested in working with Mission Remission to improve the lives of people facing cancer, or speeding up cancer diagnosis?
Whatever your piece of the jigsaw, do come join our online meetup.
Just drop me an email on: hannah@mission-remission.org.uk and I'll add you to our member list, you'll get email invitations to our meetings. Alternatively, click on the image below, at the designated time, to be connected to our online meeting space.

What are the meetups all about?
Peer support
Join our online meeting place and peer support group for cancer survivors. Do you have any recovery strategies or ‘top tips’ that you could share to help others? Or maybe you’d simply like to meet with people who understand what you’re going through?
So many of us put on a 'brave face' as we don’t want to worry our families and our friends. Peer support after a cancer diagnosis - at whatever stage we are at - can make a huge difference to how we feel about ourselves and how we cope with the demands we face.
Grab a cuppa and drop-in for a virtual cafe-style chat and we'll support each other by exploring the things that help us to get through the difficult times. To attend a meeting, email hannah@mission-remission.org.uk
Help us grow our services
Have you ever fundraised for a charity before? Could you support us to grow our services? From sponsored sports challenges and coffee mornings to online auctions, birthday fundraisers and everything else in between! No experience necessary.
We’re a grassroots community-run charity, now with over 15,000 community members. We're a hub for cancer survivors - sharing hundreds of inspirational stories and practical strategies to move forward after cancer. We host peer support groups and run online discussions and a book club and we're piloting new fitness mediation and coaching programmes.
What services do you want? Let's make your ideas happen!
What do you want to change?
If you reflect on your experiences with cancer - what about your story would you change?
Would you wish for a faster diagnosis? Less barriers to support? Would your doctors have listened just a little more?
Perhaps you would have hoped for help to move forward after treatment? Or more understanding from work, or your family and friends?
If you could, what would YOU want to change, to make sure that other people don't face the same challenges you did?
Join us online for a lively discussion.
