VAPOUR TRAILS
Vapour trails in the sky
Floating, drifting way up high
Each plane filled with passengers
All with a different journey ahead
The captain knows just what to do
With a lovely crew caring for you.
We board the plane, Luggage in hand
But this is life’s journey it cannot be planned
Seated together we all hold hands
Strong and supporting when turbulence hits
A difficult flight fills us with fear
Knowing that danger may be near.
Descent begins, destination unknown
As different paths we all must tread
Some long and winding
Some short and straight
But wherever it leads you’ll understand
A trail in the sky shows someone to hold your hand.
